Colonial Voices - Hear Them Speak was nominated for the 2011-2012 Young Hoosier Book Award (Intermediate) by the Indiana Library Federation for 2011-2012. It was also named to the 2011-2012 Virginia Readers Choice List by the Virginia State Reading Association, making a total of seven nominations for state reading awards. |
| Colonial Voices was used as a resource for an American History Project funded by the US Department of Education in partnership with the University of Massachusetts Lowell. I was invited to speak at their final session to the 130 social studies teachers who participated. They came from eight school districts surrounding the Boston area.
